All times are converted from the official New York time. US clocks change on 1 November 2026 (and on 14 March 2027), so the UTC, Dubai and India times shift by an hour across those dates. The table already accounts for that.

FOMC rate decisions 2026–2027
The Federal Open Market Committee meets eight times a year. The statement comes out at 2:00 pm New York time and the Fed Chair’s press conference starts at 2:30 pm. Meetings marked “with projections” also publish the Summary of Economic Projections, including the “dot plot”, which often moves gold more than the decision itself.

US CPI release dates 2026–2027
The Consumer Price Index comes out at 8:30 am New York time. A hotter-than-expected print tends to push yields and the dollar up and gold down; a cooler print tends to do the opposite. It’s a tendency, not a rule.

US jobs report (NFP) dates 2026–2027
The Employment Situation report, usually called nonfarm payrolls or NFP, is released at 8:30 am New York time, normally on the first Friday of the month. It includes payrolls, the unemployment rate and average hourly earnings.

How to use this calendar as a gold trader
- Check the calendar every Sunday. Mark the week’s events before you plan any trade. Our weekly gold forecast for next week does this for you.
- Know the forecast before the number. Gold reacts to the gap between the forecast and the actual figure. A number that matches the forecast often produces a small move.
- Reduce size or stand aside into the release. Spreads widen and stops can be filled worse than your price in the first minutes.
- Let the first candle close. The first spike frequently reverses. Read the reaction, then decide.
- Size every trade from your stop. Use the XAUUSD lot size calculator so a volatile release can’t do outsized damage.
Release dates can change, for example during a US government shutdown. Always confirm on the official source the day before. This page is educational, not trading advice.

The next FOMC meeting is on 27–28 October 2026, with the rate decision at 2:00 pm New York time on 28 October (18:00 UTC). After that, the Fed meets on 8–9 December 2026, a meeting that includes new economic projections.
What time is the CPI report released?
The US CPI report is released at 8:30 am New York time. That is 12:30 UTC while the US is on daylight saving time and 13:30 UTC in winter, which is 18:00 or 19:00 in India.
When is the next NFP jobs report?
The next US jobs report (nonfarm payrolls) is on Friday 6 November 2026 at 8:30 am New York time, covering October. The one after that is on 4 December 2026.
Are the 2027 FOMC dates final?
No. The Federal Reserve lists its 2027 dates as tentative: each meeting is confirmed at the meeting before it. CPI and jobs-report dates come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics schedule and can also change, for example after a government shutdown.
Why do these events move gold?
Gold pays no interest, so it is sensitive to expectations for US interest rates and the dollar. CPI and jobs data change those expectations, and the FOMC sets the rate itself. Gold usually reacts to the surprise against the forecast, not to the headline number.
