How the gold calendar feed works
You subscribe once. Your calendar app then checks the feed every few hours, so new dates and corrected times appear on their own and every event comes with a reminder 15 minutes before. Times are stored in UTC and your calendar shows them in your own time zone, including daylight-saving changes.
- Apple Calendar, iPhone, Mac: tap Subscribe; the app asks to add the calendar.
- Google Calendar: use the Google button, or Other calendars > From URL and paste the feed address.
- Outlook: Add calendar > Subscribe from web and paste the feed address.
The dates come from the same checked list as the gold economic calendar and the event centre, which are verified against the Federal Reserve, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and other official calendars. For a single release use the Add to calendar button on its gold event page. Consensus forecasts are not included: they come from paid surveys.
Knowing when a release lands is only half of it. Read what time gold moves the most and how to size your risk before a big number.
Frequently asked questions
Is the gold calendar feed free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account and uses no paid data.
Do the times change with daylight saving?
The feed holds exact UTC times. Your calendar app converts them to your time zone, so the local time is right in every country, before and after clock changes.
How often does it update?
We rebuild the feed whenever the site updates, and most calendar apps refresh subscribed feeds every few hours to a day. Google Calendar can take up to about a day.
Is this a trading signal?
No. It only tells you when scheduled releases happen. It is education, not financial advice.
