Corrections
How we fix factual errors on XAUUSD Global, and a dated log of every correction we have made.
Last updated:
We would rather be corrected than be wrong in public. This page explains how we handle mistakes and lists every correction we have made to a published fact.
What counts as a correction
A correction is any change to a published page that fixes a factual error: a wrong number, date, time-zone conversion, contract specification, regulatory rule, calculation or attribution. Fixing a typo, tightening a sentence or adding a new section is an update, not a correction, and is reflected only by the “Updated” date in the article’s byline.
How we correct
- Report. Errors reach us by email at info@xauusdglobal.com, through the community, or from our own periodic reviews.
- Check. An editor verifies the claim against the primary source, following the same standards as our editorial policy.
- Fix. The page is corrected. Because the site is rebuilt from source, the “Updated” date in the byline changes automatically.
- Log. The correction is added to the log below with the date. Significant corrections also get a short note on the page itself.
We do not silently delete or rewrite dated pieces such as the weekly gold outlook. If an outlook turned out to be wrong, it stays online as written; if it contained a factual error, it is corrected and logged here.
What we check most carefully
Experience so far tells us where errors on a gold site are most likely, so these get a second look at every review:
- Time-zone conversions. Session times and data releases are published in GMT or US Eastern and converted to IST, GST, SGT, AEST and others. Daylight-saving changes in the US, UK and Australia shift these by an hour twice a year, and our first logged correction was exactly this kind of slip.
- Risk arithmetic. Lot size, pip value, margin and stop-distance examples are recalculated by hand against the contract size (100 troy ounces per standard lot) rather than copied between articles.
- Dates and schedules. FOMC, CPI and jobs-report dates are taken from the Federal Reserve and Bureau of Labor Statistics calendars and re-checked when those bodies publish a new year’s schedule.
- Regulatory rules in the country guides. Leverage caps, permitted products and regulator names change; each guide shows its publication date so you can judge how current it is.
If you spot a pattern of errors we have not listed, tell us and we will add it here.
Corrections log
- 23 October 2026 — We corrected several time-zone conversions and risk calculations in strategy lessons after an internal review of the Gold Trading Academy. The affected lessons now show an updated date in their byline.
Older than this, there is nothing to list: the site was first published on 13 October 2026, and the entry above is our first logged correction.
