How XAUUSD Global researches, sources, reviews and dates its gold trading content, what we never publish, and how to report an error.

Last updated:

XAUUSD Global publishes free education about trading gold (XAUUSD). This page explains how that content is produced so you can judge how much weight to give it.

What we publish, and what we do not

We publish explanatory guides, strategy lessons, tools and daily news digests about the gold market. We do not publish trading signals, we do not tell you to buy or sell, we do not recommend or rank brokers or prop firms, and we never claim or imply guaranteed returns. Any worked example of a trade uses clearly labelled hypothetical numbers unless it refers to a dated, public market event.

How articles are researched

Every article starts with a question a gold trader actually asks, usually taken from search data, community questions or our own trading. The writer drafts from experience and then verifies every factual claim against a primary source. Our standard sources are:

  • CME Group for COMEX gold futures contract specifications and trading hours
  • LBMA and ICE Benchmark Administration for the London gold price and auction times
  • U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for CPI and the jobs report, including release dates and times
  • Federal Reserve for FOMC dates, statements and policy rates
  • CFTC for the Commitments of Traders report and fraud advisories
  • World Gold Council for gold demand, supply and central-bank data
  • FRED (St. Louis Fed) for real yields and dollar indices
  • National regulators (FCA, ASIC, SEBI, MAS and others) for the country guides

Where an article relies on these, it lists them under “Sources and further reading” with a direct link. We prefer the original document over a news report about it. If a fact cannot be traced to a primary source, it is either removed or clearly marked as an estimate or opinion.

Review before publication

A second member of the editorial team reads each article before it goes live, checking the arithmetic in every worked example, the time-zone conversions, the dates and the links. Strategy lessons are additionally checked against the risk management framework used across the site so that position sizes and stop distances are consistent. Articles that have been through a later, separate review show a “Last reviewed” date in the byline; an article without one has not been formally re-reviewed since publication.

Dates you can see

Every article and lesson shows its publication date. If the content file has changed since then, an “Updated” date appears next to it, taken from the version history of the site rather than typed by hand. Dated pieces such as the weekly gold outlook stay online as a record and are not rewritten after the fact.

Charts and images

Chart illustrations on this site are schematics generated from hypothetical data and carry the label “Hypothetical data, illustration only”. We do not present screenshots of trades as evidence of performance.

Independence

Our only revenue is the paid community membership (see how we make money). We carry no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content, and no broker, prop firm, signal provider or exchange has any input into what we publish.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help draft, edit and check content. People decide what is published, and all market facts are verified by a human against the sources above. Details are in our AI policy.

How to flag an error

If you believe something on this site is wrong, outdated or unclear, email info@xauusdglobal.com with the page address and the issue. We aim to reply within a few working days. Confirmed errors are fixed on the page and recorded, with the date, on our corrections page.

Who writes this

Content is produced by the XAUUSD Global Editorial Team, a small group of gold traders and writers. We do not name individual members yet; when we publish author profiles they will appear on that page with the same standards applied.
