Asian-session scalper
Quiet hours, tight ranges, small targets and strict exits. You like a calm chart and fast decisions.
Ten quick questions about your time, risk and style. Get one of six trader types, with the free course, tested strategies, tools and session times that fit you.
A game for learning, not a signal. Nothing here predicts prices or tells you to buy or sell. Past prices do not predict future prices.
Which Gold Trader Are You? is a free 10-question quiz that matches you to one of six gold trading styles and then points you to the free course, the lessons, the tested strategies and the tools that fit, plus the session times for that style in your own time zone. It takes about a minute and needs no sign-up.
Gold trades almost 24 hours a day, and the best style for you depends less on the "best strategy" than on when you can watch the chart, how long you can hold a trade and how you react to fast markets. The quiz asks about exactly those things.
Quiet hours, tight ranges, small targets and strict exits. You like a calm chart and fast decisions.
You want the day's first real move: the Asian range breaking at the London open, with a clear level to lean on.
Data days are your days: CPI, NFP and the Fed. You plan around the calendar and respect how wild the first minutes are.
Fewer, bigger trades held for days. You read the daily chart, the dollar and yields, and you can sit through noise.
Liquidity, order blocks and fair value gaps: you want to know where the stops sit and why price runs them.
Rules, tests and numbers. You would rather backtest an idea than trust a chart pattern, and you track expectancy.
Start with the course on your result card, then read the tested-strategy pages: they show, with real data and costs, how the popular rules for your style actually behaved. Check your session hours on the gold market hours tool, and size every trade from your stop with the position size calculator. To check what you already know, take the Gold Trader Test.
This quiz uses six common styles: the Asian-session scalper, the London breakout trader, the New York event trader, the swing trader, the SMC/ICT student and the data-driven systematic trader. Most people are a mix; the quiz shows your top match and the runner-up.
Each answer adds points to one or more styles: when you can trade, how long you hold, how you treat news, which chart you open, how you handle risk and losses. The style with the most points wins; ties go to the style listed first.
Your result shows the sessions that suit your style converted to your own time zone, using the same session hours as our market hours tool: Tokyo 9:00–18:00 Tokyo time, London 8:00–17:00 London time, New York 8:00–17:00 New York time, and US data at 8:30 am New York.
No. Every style can lose money, and our strategy tests show that many popular rules lose after costs. The result only points you to the lessons, courses and tools that match how you like to work.
Only your result, in this browser, so the Gold Lab hub can show it. Nothing is sent to us.
Educational game only. Not financial advice and not a signal. Prices are COMEX gold futures (GC=F), which differ slightly from spot XAUUSD. See our risk disclaimer.
Try "lot size", "NFP", "London session" or a country.
