Spot: Know what you trade
What XAUUSD is, how gold is quoted, what one lot is worth, what trading costs, when gold trades and how orders work. The ground every later stage stands on.

Open stage 1A free gold trading school in four named stages. Each stage lists existing lessons, guides and tools in order, with ticks you control, a ten-question stage quiz and a badge. Finish all four for a self-study certificate.
The School of Gold is a free, step-by-step path for learning to trade gold (XAUUSD). It groups the site's lessons into four stages named after gold itself: Spot (what you trade), Ounce (charts and risk), Bar (indicators and smart money) and Vault (macro, events, your plan and your mindset). Each stage shows your progress, ends with a stage quiz and awards a badge. Progress is saved in your browser, so there is nothing to sign up for. Education only: no signals, no trade calls.
Start at stage 1 unless you can already pass its quiz. Badges appear as you complete each stage.

Start with stage 1: Spot.
You completed all four stages. Type the name for your certificate, then download it.
Self-study certificate. Not a regulated qualification and not evidence of trading results. Want the longer one? The XAUUSD Foundations certificate needs all 51 academy lessons.
Your ticks and quiz results live in this browser. To carry them to another phone, computer or browser, copy your progress code here and paste it there. The code holds only your ticks, quiz results and course ticks; nothing is sent anywhere, and anyone with the code could load the same progress, so treat it like a note to yourself.
If you are signed in to the community app, that sign-in lives on community.xauusdglobal.com, a separate site as far as your browser is concerned, so these pages cannot see it. Rather than add a second log-in here, the School keeps progress in your browser and gives you the code above. Loading a code merges it with what is already saved: a passed quiz stays passed and a tick stays ticked.
Yes. Every stage, lesson, quiz, badge and the graduation certificate is free, with no sign-up or email. The XAUUSD Global community is separate and optional, and free during early access.
The academy is the full library of 51 lessons. The courses are goal-based paths with daily or module tasks. The School is the simplest route: four named stages, from what XAUUSD is to a written plan, each with a stage quiz and a badge. They share the same lessons and quizzes, so progress counts everywhere.
In this browser’s local storage, on this device only. Nothing is sent to us. To continue on another device or browser, copy your progress code from this page and paste it there.
Not yet. The community app keeps its sign-in on its own subdomain, which this site cannot read, so progress stays in your browser. The progress code moves it between devices in a few seconds.
No. It is a self-study certificate that shows you completed the four stages and passed the stage quizzes. It is not accredited, not recognised by any regulator and not evidence of trading skill or results.
Roughly 20 to 30 hours of reading and practice for most people, spread over a few weeks. Going slower is fine; the order matters more than the speed.
Try "lot size", "NFP", "London session" or a country.
