Stage 3: Bar, indicators and smart money

Moving averages, RSI divergence, ATR and Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci, then the smart-money toolkit: liquidity sweeps, order blocks, fair value gaps and the breakout retest.

Stage 3 of 49 steps9 lesson quizzesFree, no sign-up

A gold bar is the refined, standard form of the metal, and stage 3 refines your chart reading with tools: indicators that measure trend, momentum and volatility, and the structure-and-liquidity ideas many gold traders use for entries. Each one is taught with its limits, because no indicator or zone works on its own.

By the end of this stage: You can use a moving average, RSI and ATR without treating them as signals, mark liquidity pools, order blocks and fair value gaps consistently, and say what would prove each idea wrong.

Education, not signals. Nothing here tells you what to trade. Leveraged gold trading carries a high risk of loss: practise on a demo first.

Your progress in this stage

Work down the list in order. Tick a step when you have read it or used the tool. Lessons marked “Lesson + quiz” end with a five-question quiz; pass it (4 of 5) and the step ticks itself. When every step is ticked and you have passed the stage quiz at the bottom, you earn the Bar badge.

Frequently asked questions

Is smart money concepts (SMC) required?

No. The SMC lessons are here because many gold traders use them, and knowing the vocabulary helps you judge what you read. You can finish the stage and still trade with classic support, resistance and moving averages.

Which indicators should I keep after stage 3?

One or two at most, chosen for a job: a moving average for trend, ATR for stop distance, or RSI for momentum. Settings tested on real gold data are on the indicator settings page.

Educational content only, not financial advice. Trading gold with leverage carries a high risk of loss.
